Ref:"Let me say it never snows in San Antonio. Never!"

I've got a lot of years in San Antonio...kinda miss the ole place...but I do remember a few snow days. One memorable moment was when some folks called the police on their neighbors for stealing their snow. Apparently the caller was trying to make a snowman and with the very small yard in fronT of their house had limited resources. To make matters worst, the neighbor who also had a very small yard was trying to make a bigger snowman and thus needed more snow...the result...SNOW THEFT!
Then there was that big snow storm back in the early eighties that lasted more than a day...I think we had about 6 inches of the white stuff in our back yard.
Although most of it melted the following day we still had remanents a day or two later.
And lets not forget Mayor Cisneros who wanted to buy that snow plow for the San Antonio airport...sure seemed like a lot of money to shell out for something they were going to use once every ten years.

ps: Although it missed us this year, we had snow last year...I took pictures of the neighbor's kids making a six-foot high snowman...but Frosty melted within two days as a result of an adverse weather phenomenon called an AlGore front.
