I stumbled across this on the interwebs.  Man, this brings back some memories.  Back in the day when I was a kid, I remember sneaking to the living room after my parents went to bed and watching TV until they stopped broadcasting.  Yes, back then they would stop broadcasting and call it a night.  This was the network’s sign off.

Anyway, the last thing they would show is the little video and poem called High Flight.  I didn’t get why they would show it at the time, but I knew as soons as that jet got airborne it was time to go back to bed.  Anyway, brings back some memories.

I don’t know what the Dr. Phil crap is at the end of the video.  But I don’t remember the good doctor being around those days.

Early Friday morning (just happened to be Friday the 13th), a small pizza parlor near my neighborhood went up in flames.  A moment of silence for Pizza Italia please… 

Damn I loved the food there.  It was a place to hit after a softball game.  And I had them on speed dial when I wanted a pizza delivered.  Dominos and Pizza Hut can suck it.  Pizza Italia was some awesome stuff!  And they had the best damn wings, too.  (sigh)…

I hope they rebuild.  The damage was pretty extensive.  In some cases, a total loss was reported.  But I have faith that Pizza Italia will rise again.

On a side note, my roommate hated Pizza Italia.  It was too complex for him (his thing is a simple pepperoni pizza from Little Ceasar’s).  So I have to question where he was at approximately 4am last Friday.  And whether or not he had lighter fluid and matches on him.  I’m just saying.

Ummmm.  Wow.  This is completely insane.  I wish I knew what she was babbling about.  Subtitles would have come in handy.  Then again, maybe I don’t want to know.

They don’t get that much crazier than this.  How bad is China that a grown woman throws a tantrum like this?  It can’t be that bad.  Oh, wait.  I forgot about that whole communist thing.  Yeah…

If I had voted for Barack Obama, I would want to punch this guy in the mouth.  Makes all Obama supporters look… well… I would just be really pissed at this guy.

I’m not sure how the Secret Service could let this guy be in the same building with Barack Obama.  Did someone drop the ball here?  What a retard.

I bet the McDonald’s people are pissed.  That goes for normal people that work there and the owners of the company.  Way to represent, Julio!

Let me first start by saying it was a damn good game.  I was pulling for the Cardinals, but I’ve always liked the Steelers.  So it wasn’t too bad.  An all around good game.  Too bad there had to be a loser.  Moving on…

So how about those commercials?  Not too bad.  There were some stupid ones, but I won’t waste time with those.  What I will waste time with are these.  Since I liked them.  So you probably did too. 

If you’re an SNL fan, you appreciated this one.  MacGruber and MacGyver together?  Brilliant!

Doritos can send clothes flying off women?  I’m buying a bag tomorrow.

Good commercial.  I want an Audi.  Will getting one make me that good a driver?

This was just a funny commercial!  Punching out the Koala was awesome!

Overall, the commercials this year were decent.  There were a couple of years where the commercials were flat out lousy.  I hope people got fired for those.  Like the mechanics with the Snicker’s bar?  Remember that one?  Sorry to remind you.  Misery loves company.

Here is an eye-opening lecture on why you shouldn’t talk to police.  Ever.  I’m serious.  Or at least the law professor giving this lecture is.

Needless to say, I’ll think twice before talking to the police.  And you guys should too.  Especially you.  No, not you.  YOU.

Here is a clip from a local TV station in Hawaii.  My sister, Ale, is called in to drop some knowledge on why kids are fat and out of shape these days (video games) and what they can do to lose some weight.  I know she went to school for this kind of thing, but I didn’t realize she paid so much attention in class!

Nice job, Ale.  I’m proud of you.  Not so much because you are on the news, but because of the reason you are on there.  You worked hard and earned it.  Unfortunately, the only way I’m going to end up on TV is because I witness a tornado or something.
